I got the new alt picked up. Wont put it in untill tomorrow. I also got the door taken apart. Seems its just the lock tumbler, I'm gonna take it down to a lock shop tomorrow and have it matched to my keys.

Windshield

Ok, so I found a Windshield. $80. Not bad at all. Will head out to Topeka to pick it up tomorrow or the next day. I did ask about a door... and omg... they want $200!! I passed on that... I'm gonna head down and take the door I got apart and see if I can get it to work, maybe pop that dent back out...

Ok, after some digging, it is a 88. Wich means... its only about 140 hp. -sigh- oh well, will still work fine.

I pulled the Alt off, it failed every test in the book, got a new one on the way, should have it this afternoon. I got new post clamps for the batt cables and replaced the shifter. I still dont like it, but its better then the pos that was on there.

I am currently trying to find a windshield and a door. I dont know if I can aford to replace the door right now, but, we will see how much they want for it. If I can get the window for 100 or so, then I can get the door... I'm afraid the window is gonna set me back 3 or 4 hundred. Which is gonna suck, but, needs to be done.

Ok, got more phone calls to make... will update later...

So like, I was told that my car is not a S5... seems I have to do some research... -sigh- oh well, its still an rx. It dose make the turbo a little more interesting... if I dont get the entire power train. We'll see...

The begining...

Hey, so, like, I've never really done the "Blogging" thing so I thought I'd give it a try. I want to keep track of this little project I have started and I think it would be fun to post it and maybe get feed back and what not. So.... here gos!!

I have bought a 1989 Mazda RX-7. For those of you in the know, this is a FC RX-7 with the 13b. For those if you not in the know, this is a second gen RX-7 with a 13b two roter, wankle rotery. Each rotor had a displacement of 654 cc, for a total of 1308 cc displacement (or 1.3L, or for those of you that prefer CI, thats 79.819 057 276. We'll just call it 80 CI.) in the engine. This is "by the book" 160 hp.

The first few things that need to be done is the front windshield needs replaced, as well as the left door. The tires need to be checked and balenced and the brakes checked. Oil change, new sparkplugs. I think that will cover the first few items.
